A Blackbird’s Call Over Foss Gill, 2023 is a drypoint print inspired by the evening song of a blackbird near Foss Gill in the North Yorkshire Dales.  The wind and sky were perfectly still and it was silent, except for two blackbirds singing, one from far away. Working onto a large acrylic plate, I made marks using rocks, old broken hacksaw blades, old carpet tacks and sandpaper.
